What is Upper Lip Lift Surgery?
The surgery is performed in the office under local anesthesia. The incision is hidden along the creases of your nose. After the excess upper lip tissue is removed, sutures are used to close the wound and lift the upper lips. Your scar is well concealed within the natural crease along the nose.
Lip Lift Recovery
This is an outpatient procedure. Stitches will be removed in 1-2 weeks. Bruising can occur and usually takes about 2 weeks to resolve. Swelling takes longer. Keeping your head elevated after surgery to reduce swelling is essential. Most patients resume normal activity within a few days.
